One of the ongoing projects we had in school was a magazine. We needed to create an original magazine and design a brand for it. We then had to create a cover page as well as a table of contents. Later on during the following quarters of classes we would create additional editorial spreads which were to be part of this magazine we had started (the Roborotica editorial spread is an example of such an additional editorial spread). The cover story for my cover was on the topic of color callibration. As such I wanted to create a very dynamic colorful abstract image for the cover. The concept I had was an abstract representation of light bending through a prism into an uncontrolled and wild spectrum bleeding its colors everywhere.
