This was a project for one of my photography classes. The project was to create an editorial for any topic, using photography. I decided to base mine on robotics. The robot designs itself are a mixture of airbrushing and photography (probably a little too much airbrushing considering it was supposed to be a project for a photography class...).
The face in spread one is airbrushed, as is the body of the helmet. The eye lens and the ear piece are modified photos from my car. In the second spread the majority of the robot body is airbrushed, except for the mechanical parts in the stomach and arms which are photographs of engine parts from an old car. The backgrounds are combinations of a few architectural photographs I took and modified to create abstract formations. |
