This piece began as an acrylic painting for a Mixed Media course in school. The original project guidelines were to create a portrait making use of complimentary color schemes. The original portrait was a mixture of warm skin tones with cold shadows. The final painting was then scanned and heavily modified in Adobe Photoshop. Utilizing Photoshop, I smoothed out the skin texture and did some heavy correcting to the shading and facial proportions of the original painting. I also used Photoshop to add the lines that wrap along the contours of the face.
