Tutorial Title: How to create grungy text

Program: PSP 5+

Step 1: This tutorial will show you how to Give your text a dity look. It's good to use if you would like to go for a rusted shit look. Also, it is a very easy effect to create. Usually it only takes about three minutes, probably even less to create the effect. Open a new image with the dimensions 200x100 pixels. Make your background color black and the foreground color a shade of dark orange or mustard.

Step 2: Make a new layer, and add you text to the layer. Center your text. This effect works best with slightly bold fonts.

Step 3: In the layer mode menu, select dissolve.

Step 4: Now click on Image > Blur > Guassian blur, and play around with the settings. I usually use anything below 1.

Hint: The higher the amount of blur, the more dissolved the text will become.
