Tutorial Title: How to create color dodged text

Program: PSP 5+

Step 1: Open a new canvas, make this one about 300x300 or so. Set your background color to black and your foreground color to to a light blue type color.

Step 2: Go to the layer palette and create a new layer, and select the Text tool. Type out a word or something. Gaussian blur this layer with a blur of about 1.5

Step 3: Duplicate the current layer two times, and give these two layers the Dodge blend mode. The more times you duplicate these layers, the brighter the text will become. To change the look of your text and make it look more like a laser beam, change the opacity on each layer.

Hint: Try to experiment with this tutorial. Try to use it on other things beside text and see what you come up with.
