| Tutorial Title: Paint Shop Pro Tips |
README: These were tips that were given out on a weekly (yeah right) basis. They were started back in 1999 when xanthic.net was also started. However, they were stopped because I could no longer manage to update with new tips. Since they are for an old version of PSP (version 5 I think), they might not work in newer versions of the program.
June 24 - July 7 2000:
When you are using the deformation tool, pressing the SHIFT + CTRL keys at the same time will allow you to deform the object using perspective control.
June 5-17 2000:
Pressing CTRL + a number will skip you from layer to layer from the first layer and up.
May 7-20 2000:
If you're too lazy to drag your mouse to the "x" to close your current image window, press CTRL + F4 to close it.
April 23 - May 6 2000:
For more properties for the selection marquee tool, double click it's icon in the tool palette
April. 1-8 2000:
Go File> Preference> Customize Toolbar to add new an useful buttons to your toolbar.
Mar. 19-31 2000:
Do not ever mess with your gamma settings. If you change your settings, your pictures won't look the same on other computers.
Mar. 12-18 2000:
In your general program properties, lower the amount of MB. for undo's to make the program run much faster.
Feb. 13-19 2000:
When you have a tool selected, and press the SPACE BAR, you quickly move to the next tool.
Feb. 06-12 2000:
Use the BROWSE feature to quickly view all of the picture files in a folder. Very useful. :]
Jan. 30-Feb. 05 2000:
To make an image transparent, press CTRL + SHIFT + V and choose your settings.
Jan. 23-29 2000:
To quickly perform a SAVE AS, press F12 on your keyboard.
Jan. 16-22 2000:
To center ALL of your palettes, press SHIFT + CTRL + C.
Jan. 09-15 2000:
To move a selection with your keys quicker, press CTRL + SHIFT + the arrow keys.
Dec. 19-25 1999:
Pressing SHIFT + A will make your screen display bigger. Pressing CTRL + SHIFT + A gives you a complete preview.
Nov. 28-Dec. 04 1999:
To move a selection, pixel by pixel, hold down the shift key and move the selection with the arrow keys.
Nov. 07-13 1999:
When using the marquee tool, hold down the shift key to add to the selection. Hold down the CTRL key to cut out of the selection |
